Any part of graphics twitter have any idea about this weirdness I'm seeing with @RenderDoc? Launch the very same application I'm developing in RD on my desktop (Nvidia GTX 1660) and it's all good. Attempt the same on my laptop (Intel UHD integrated) and inf load bar.

Is there a known issue with Intel UHD family integrated chips and RenderDoc? Is there some checkbox I can enable that somehow makes it work? Some feature I should or shouldn't use?

I managed to inject into the application, but when I attempted to capture a frame it crashed. =/

Can you be more specific about what exactly goes wrong? RenderDoc should work on any GPU but there can certainly be issues from system to system depending on what's happening, and driver bugs are far from unknown.

Sure. I typically build it direct from VS, and then point RenderDoc to the output exe. I don’t yet load files or do anything with the working directory, so it doesn’t matter. My app typically launches a console window then the gfx window.

But when I launch from RD, I get the console window, no gfx window, and RD’s modal “launching application” message box with progress bar. This never goes away and the gfx window never launches.

Are you running the latest version of RenderDoc? a previous version had an issue like this caused by a cross-process hang in the crash reporter.

I will make sure I'm up to date. RenderDoc had prompted me for an update only a few days ago.
