Interesting. I don’t think initializer_list has ever caused me grief. It’s easy to ignore and rarely causes odd ball bugs. Why do people want it removed?

Pointers and references have the same problem, but nobody is asking for them to be removed. The issues with uniform init is more compelling. initializer_list just doesn't get in my way enough to be worth removing (but I don't use stl containers)
