God I hate git, I'm about to lose my mind. Do I switch to perforce?

I’m personally in favor of P4. Use it personally and professionally. Has some downsides compared to git, but I find the workflow generally more to my development style.
In personal/small projects, I rarely need to branch -- P4 shelves generally fill any need there. On larger projects, branching is more worthwhile. P4 also has github integration of some sort. I'm not sure the details, but you can find out more on their website.

Wait what!? You can use perforce on GitHub? I'm having difficulties finding answers on google

I'm not entirely sure the details or how it works, but there is Helix Core (new name, but just the Perforce ecosystem) and then HelixSwarm and Helix4Git. The Helix P4V client also not has some git buttons (clone, push, fetch). Never used em.
