TIL: translation is just a rotation with the rotation point at infinity. What?!
Isn’t it more like “at infinity along a vector perpendicular to the desired translation direction”? And then, for axis aligned translations, the point of rotation for a translation along x is only inf in the y component? (Assuming 2D)
