I shared an office with @Dave1Z1 for about a year while on H1Z1 and am at a loss to hear of his passing.
His work on H1 is well stated by others, so I want to remember something less known: before H1, he was critical in creating Daybreaks automated testing suite.
The testing suite was beyond professional. At one point, a company trying to sell SOE on their own testing suite saw what he and his team built and were so blown away, they wanted to license the tech. Dave was also an incredible friend to have in your corner.
When someone treated him poorly, he would get frustrated. When someone treated anybody else poorly, he would get angry. He always had more passion for the well being of others than he had for himself, and a crystal vision of what was just and fair.
To say Dave will be missed is an understatement. With his passing, so much good has left the world, it’s hard to imagine any of us could make up for it. It is only by his example that we can try. Thank you, Dave.
