Dataflow graphs and read-only data structures are rather helpful.
There needs to be a Named Law for the fact that no matter how difficult you think multithreaded #programming is, it's always more difficult.

Yeah absolutely. The whole premise of the engine I'm writing is it manages data flow and read/write access to data for you. But you eventually *have* to synchronize. And at those moments, things get funky.
