When I was aspiring to become a UN officer, when I was personally involved with WFM, when I was interacting with the world as a policy aide, I always followed the footsteps of Ms. Ogata, a true diplomat and a statesman who has redefined our nation's position in the world. R.I.P.

Recently I've come across men saying things like 'Let US be who WE are' or 'Sorry but it's OUR instinct talking' or 'too bad. it's in OUR instinct.` And I'm FED UP WITH IT. Instead I wanna tell them this: "Don't call yourself a MAN in this age." or at least, "Don't speak for US."

The sad thing is, I found this ad simply walking through Shinjuku Station on the way to have lunch w my family. That should give you pause to think about how rampant sexism is in Japanese society.

Let me clarify. I’m not opposed to your particular fetish. There’s an appropriate place for erotic material of all kinds. The issue is that eroticization of women occurs EVERYWHERE - including places where it’s inappropriate. Like, you know, a fucking BLOOD DRIVE CAMPAIGN.

I admire the work the Red Cross does, which is why I’m disappointed that in Japan would run a campaign using the over-sexualized Uzaki-chan. There’s a time & a place for this stuff. This isn’t it.
