Hey @TeamYouTube @YouTubeGaming @YouTube @YTCreators can you please state DEFINITIVELY are creators allowed to post announcement videos for their Twitch streams without fear of getting a strike? My Twitch audience comes back to my YT daily so it’s a win-win.

Pretty sure that any announcement whose purpose is to drive people away from YT is considered a no-no and makes you eligible for a community guidelines strike

Which makes sense in theory BUT I built my Twitch following when YouTube didn’t offer streaming. My Twitch highlights are what I post on YouTube which then generates them more money. Plus there’s their cryptic responses...pic.twitter.com/lWVa5c0XNz

Yeah so making a video that’s entertaining and generates more watch time and ad revenue for YT, that’s fine. Making a community post (non-video, just text post) saying you’re live — that’s not ok. Twitch highlight videos are definitely fine.
