We really need a national id. Bold Claim: fears that an id will lead to vote suppression are as baseless as Voting fraud allegations.

I get the anecdote. OTOH opening a bank account also needs an id, but everyone banks. So why will a national id suppress voting?

And check-cashing sites also need ids. Would love to see actual A-B test that ids lead to lower turnout, not anecdotes/FUD.
