good evening friends I have finished watching the available episodes of CENTAURWORLD & I am here to tell you it is so much more incredible than you will believe it could possibly be from watching the first couple of episodes

I cannot bear to tell you how much I cried from an episode that was 20% fart jokes. I cannot bear it. I cannot tell you. But I did, & here I am, the secret parts of my soul exposed & ragged, to say, this show is award-worthy on so many levels & I am in awe

sometimes you take in a piece of art that teaches you how to experience it piece by piece, laying this careful rainbow road inside you one colour at a time & you think you're walking it but actually it's slowly turning you into an instrument for it to play & that is this show

I genuinely thought I was fluent in cartoon, I thought I understood this medium intimately & intuitively, & this show made me realize there were whole, I d'know, PHONEMES I couldn't hear & it taught me to do so & now I know magic

anyway if I sound slightly unhinged it's because this show treats your own butt talking to you as deeply emotionally significant & I am still processing it but meantime, from the bottom (as it were) of my heart, this show is worth taking seriously & letting do its thing.

I was just astonished how good it is, like I really can't even work out how you go from literally any elevator pitch you could possibly attempt to make for it to the actual thing?

At first glimpse it's a show that takes nothing seriously...
Then you realize that no matter how absurd the situation, the show always takes every character's emotional stakes seriously... though it may ALSO make jokes at their expense along the way...
It was honestly amazing.

I've been pitching it to friends as "A deadly-serious war veteran is trapped against their will in the world of Adventure Time, but it's unhinged and manic instead of childish and goofy, and every episode is an Ice King episode."
