Definitely hopping onto the caboose of this particular pandemic train but my mama gave me a sourdough starter on Sunday & here is my first loaf with it, behold my sour lumpen daughter, I love her, she is the most delicious thing I have ever baked

I used to think I didn't like sour bread! Relegating that to the pile of foolish childhood wrongnesses along with figs & mushrooms & courgette

OH I should add I used 's recipe because it had the fewest steps & my very basic brain only stopped balking at the towel part when I realized I could just use parchment paper twice. 1st rise was 13 hrs, 2nd was 3 hrs.
