Suspended pending an investigation. But, surely his slides are enough evidence to fire him on the spot, no? Or does CERN wish to investigate just how sexist and inappropriate he is???

it can be hard to fire people in certain positions, like here we have tenure. In such cases without an investigation it would likely be impossible to fire someone. And I don’t know what the situation there is like. I’m satisfied with this as long as it goes the right way
