DON'T LISTEN. Show Don't tell is a tired idea that needs to be flushed down a toilet. There's nothing wrong with exposition. Like any aspect of craft, you have to know how to do it well and when to deploy it for best effect.

LOL so far they have not responded to that message (it's an asynchronous online class and all this is happening in comments). But in live classes shit gets pretty intense, but not as intense as when I tell them about how Samuel R Delany says that plot doesn't exist for writers.
