Today I will be teaching my undergrad course "How to build a brain from scratch" for the 2nd year running. I've put the materials online - include a document with all lecture slides and notes, which is about as long as a decent novel. Enjoy!

Extremely proud to say that our latest (and my first) paper is out! Very grateful to and the rest of the PaL Lab for their support and comments. The best thing I’ll have got from this decade apart from my god daughter.

Annotating some code which has a staircase procedure. Was able to use the phrase ‘vice versa, we have reversa’. Anyone know of any jobs going in poetry/songwriting?

Haven’t trawled through the paper yet, however \/ grabs my attention enough ‘We find that penetrating a critical fraction of the network is more important than generating attention-grabbing content and that targeting random users is more damaging than targeting hub nodes.’

Regardless of one's view on FEP, this is an astonishing piece of work. Probably the most Karl thing I've read. .
