I should say that the argument *does* make a lot of sense understood in a very narrow way: two-plus decades after Thomas, there was a conscious effort to offer the illusion of believing the victim while ignoring her. Was there no way to independently find a corroborating witness and get them on camera? I hate this guy but other then the fact that he was (still is) a dick the accusations weren't corroborated in any meaningful way -- unless they were and I'm missing something
