Barring a drastic change in the race, Bernie Sanders is going to be the presumptive Democratic nominee 11 days from now. 11 days!!! Here are five trauma inducing lessons from our 2016 failures for Democrats who want a different course.

Tom Steyer playing gadfly billionaire spoiler to seal the deal for bernie is a nice subplot to keep this thing from being a pure GOP 2016 redux

Bernie is running a campaign that explicitly rejects all of the past democratic presidential campaigns, so i don’t get why it’s surprising that the people who worked on those campaigns and are now commentators don’t like him. Feature not bug for bernie.

Entrance polls in Nevada show a slightly *whiter* electorate than in 2016 — which is also my unpopular bet about South Carolina turnout this time. No GOP primary + suburban surge. I know disagrees.

I guess Amy’s third place victory in New Hampshire wasn’t the story after-all. Perhaps it was the two people who won a state and the guy leading in the polls in SC who were the relevant players.

10 days left and path just got significantly harder than it was yesterday! Meanwhile Mayor Mike is running 2500 points about trump liking burnt steak.

Weird, because Robert O'Brien said in 2016 during the primaries that Trump had a "bromance" with Putin and that Trump played up, "how chummy he will be with Vladimir Putin if he is elected."

More gibberish, this time via - Section 230 makes no distinction between "publishers" and "platforms" - The "special federal liability carve-outs" are not contingent on neutrality - Twitter as publisher = less conservative speech

This all strikes me as essentially correct. It's definitely true that it's all in against Bernie NOW, or he's the nominee in 11 DAYS. (Also, love me some with his hair on fire!) The 5 Lessons from 2016 Dems Need If They Want to Stop Bernie

It doesn’t make much sense, imo, for the intel community to assemble a body of secret reporting about what Russia is doing and communicate its nature to the public through leaks and cryptic statements during the race, with texturally detailed disclosures only after Election Day.

Democrats need to stop acting like cash-poor landed gentry too squeamish to talk about money and start acting like ruthless entrepreneurial fundraisers. If you want to win, go win. That means raising money.
