This is a terrible tragedy and awful end to a brutal year. It is a system failure that resulted in irreversible harm to two families. My heart goes out to the families of the victims. We will hold the man who did this accountable. We will support the families of the victims

We will make changes to ensure that people on parole receive the supervision and structure needed from parole to prevent this kind of tragedy from recurring.https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/article/Two-pedestrians-killed-in-hit-and-run-in-S-F-s-15839481.php …

You work for the City and County of SF. CDCR(Parole) is a state agency. Do tell how you plan to direct a state agency on how to operate. Stop misdirecting blame when it’s clearly on your watch!

Very good point. Does

Saw him on the news and he just basically threw everyone under the bus instead. It was SFPD, DCPD, or the Parole services fault the guy was running around. Chesa is a clown.

Boudin knows the criminal justice system well enough to know the roles of each agency, what they can and can’t do. CDCR can only hold for about 48 hrs. AB109 removed the ability of CDCR to hold beyond that. The courts are responsible past 48 hrs.
