Why would another candidate be there at any other time? They have jobs to do. Whereas, it IS your job.

It isn't actually my job but together with Conservative councillors we have made it our job to hold street surgeries for the last 15 years

It's not a petty remark, it's a fact. Party politics aside he is a very good constituency MP whereas others deem themselves above it.
