    A serious question: Could the president weighing in on an ongoing New York AG investigation by advising the NRA on how to avoid scutiny... ... could that be construed as an obstruction of justice?

    ....People are fleeing New York State because of high taxes and yes, even oppression of sorts. They didn’t even put up a fight against SALT - could have won. So much litigation. The NRA should leave and fight from the outside of this very difficult to deal with (unfair) State!

    What could the New York Attorney General do if she found wrongdoing in the NRA? She could seek to remove the board, she could force it to pay back funds improperly obtained In an extreme case she could even force them to dissolve or cease operations

    What is funny about this is that the Trump Foundation was shut down in New York If it were so easy for a non profit to leave in order to avoid scrutiny, why didn't they?

    Firstly, the New York AG has jurisdiction over orgs doing business in their state. So unless NRA stopped operating entirely in NY, she would still have jurisdiction

    The NRA is chartered in New York, and is thus under the jurisdiction of a Dem AG You might think: why doesn't the NRA move its registration out of New York to a state that may be more friendly to its cause? I researched this legal question a week ago, so I got you fam...

    Pretty wild, but not the wildest in NRA history. In 1977 the Members' Meeting lasted until 4 in the morning. Much (metaphorical) blood was shed. We warned them: New York is Coming.
