What a wonderful man lost who wrote history with everything he did.
I am terribly saddened to hear about the death of my friend and colleague John Lewis. Icon just doesn’t seem to be enough of a description to cover his incredible life and gift to our nation.

I wish you could honor his legacy every day with a commitment to fight for the things he fought for. Nice words from you & they are welcome but John Lewis was more than that. Commit to fighting to restore the VRA of 1965 or you are just paying lip service to his name, Burchett.

While I didn’t agree with him on many policy elements, he was clearly a humble and gentle soul who was manipulated by the hucksters and right reverends of his day. He’s about as polar opposite from BLM as you could get.
