i'm absolutely not wedded to reclaiming pepe and i took the emote off my ffz list because people have voiced alienation from seeing it/i don't want to dogwhistle fascist/racist bullshit, but i have to admit i'm very confused about the signals i get from its usage
for example, pepe emotes are used in my school-affiliated gaming server (i.e. at a large public university). the space generally seems to me to be actively working toward inclusivity. but it's hard to tell if anyone is alienated by their use, obviously
