I am looking for ideas to do a "Tips for protoss beginners" on my youtube. It's been a while since I was a beginner so I can't remember the struggles that much. Without diving into strategy/unit compositions what did you struggle with or didn't know about? Or maybe still do.

I've some real life friends who are less skilled at SC2 / RTS and one of the things I see them struggle with the most is camera movement / control of the interface, things we take for granted. When one says "Make a pylon" it's hard for them to get the screen where it should be,

basically all of these little mechanical things of literally interacting with the game are real challenges for them. They may know what they want to do but the game is difficult to control for them.

Hearing "go to your natural and make a pylon at your front" will take them much much longer than us, because those are real problems to be solved for beginners that aren't talked about enough IMO.

^seconding my good friend here. I've seen plenty of players, even getting up into the D2/D1 zone, failing to execute a build the way it should be executed because they've pooled 200 minerals before building their 1st pylon

and this pretty much just has to do with the basics of screen movement and comfort/precision with the mouse and keyboard. i know players who still look at the keyboard to press "B" and "E." maybe emphasize importance + develop some drills around this
