      i don't think the issue is whether or not you voted for trump, i think the issue is that you're waving away affected people's pain and the resulting manifestations of that pain as generally "uncivil" and "polarized." it's "moderate" ideology generally shown to favor status quo

      That was never my intention and making that leap seems dishonest. Extrapolating your conclusion from asking for discussion before ending relationships seems like a big leap.

      i believe that it's not your intention to support the status quo, but i'm saying that there are generations of thinkers, including, for exmample, MLK Jr., who would say that these types of actions do support the status quo
