So don’t act like you don’t draw the line somewhere, like it’s an unforgivable sin to get someone fired, ever. Admit you think denying service to disabled people is, specifically, forgivable

So much of this outrage is, yes, peformative. It’s not about what it claims to be about. It’s not about a gig worker being fired per se, it’s about a gig worker being fired for something people see as basically acceptable even if it’s not great

I disagree that very few people would stand for denying a rider for being Black or homeless. Many people would. They would simply call it something they know is more socially acceptable, like "fear for personal safety" or "protecting the cleanliness of their vehicle".
