Fair enough, there seem to be over 5000 blocks in SF. Why would person A living in one place always have someone sleeping in their doorway, and not person B? Why can't person A and B equally share the burden?

For every obvious "karen" type making a cell call from the sidewalk, there are 10 people that just silently call in from their apartments, and the cops have to show up and shine their lights.

Would you mind sharing the general area of where you live? I live in the tenderloin, and in the last 10 years, i have never ever seen a cop move a sleeping person, at least during the night. SOME times SOME alleys get cleared for what seemed to be street cleaning. During the day.

I’m realizing that there was a misunderstanding. No one seems to be contesting that cops simply don’t respond to these types of calls in the TL. If they only respond to calls to move people to the TL, then these calls should stop. Everyone should be free to pitch a tent whereever

My original line of thinking was, we in the TL (the poor immigrant residents AND the homeless) could really use a break, it’s the most densely populated neighborhood.
