Congrats. It's really cool! Any plans for .NET based languages (C#, F#, ...)?

Thanks! We have been considering .NET bytecode support. No immediate plans, but we would definitely support such an effort and also create internship positions for students who could be interested in exploring this.

We hope to form a synergy with @scala_native; i.e., replace the LLVM-backend of Scala Native with #GraalVM, which we think is a better fit and also provides runtime and garbage collection services. /CC @den_sh

I have to cite inspiring lines from you, sir: "In essence, one writes an interpreter and gets a JIT for free. I suggest rereading that sentence again: it fundamentally changes the economics of language implementation for many of us."

Looks really cool. Except for the part where Oracle is involved.

Don't be an ass! Oracle has helped fund this project from the beginning. Not everything is black and white, and in this case they have really helped getting some ground breaking technology out there. The labs and the language teams are only two examples of great people they hire.
