    Two more flights quarantined at US airports this afternoon, with ailing passengers w/same symptoms as 106 had on a fly at JFK yesterday. Key common feature of all 3 flights: many ailing folks that had been to Mecca for the Hajj.

    Some thoughts/ Qs on the NYT oped: 1) Motivation-- not to tell the public but to provoke Trump into reacting 2) don't parse the language-- he/ she almost certainly deliberately planted crumbs to mislead 3) this is presumably part of a plan. What's the next step?

    I doubt Pence was the author. More likely the author is planting the seed in Trump's head that he is to drive a wedge between the two. Who knew Stephen Miller was that clever!

    Two months later, Vice President Mike Pence speaks at the Jack Kemp Leadership Award Dinner. He drops "lodestar" again.

    I think someone just discovered that in a few months Nike will no longer be a tenant in Trump tower

    Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!

    Exactly. I understand why people stay in. It is a scandal though that those who have already left-- Cohn, McMaster, Tillerson, and others-- do not speak out publicly about what they know.

    Imagine what would happen if these good people, instead of trying to hide what was going on and prevent the very worst harms, decided to speak out, clearly and publicly, about their view that the president is unfit and a threat to our national security.

    Because this is Trump this story won't even last 24 hours but the fact that the President repeatedly attacks basic principles of the rule of law is truly shocking and outrageous. The only reason he doesn't act on it is b/c he's not strong enough, yet.

    Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department. Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff......

    I suspect there's a possibility Trump may cancel his visit to Europe in November once he realizes he's expected to attend the Paris Peace Forum, Macron's initiative to showcase global governance solution. Trump thinks he's going to a military parade but this is the main event.
