Other excellent Cobden and Bright statues and honours are available. But Bradford's is one of the best.

My thanks to
@simonmagus and@langrabbie for some useful direction, I've decided that the Wikipedia page on Mr. Cobden is not up to scratch. So I'm going to spend the next 40 minutes updating it. I'll tweet along so that you can see how easy it is and join in in the future.Prikaži ovu nit -
1/ Log in to Wikipedia, the button is at the top right to create an account, you can edit anonymously but I don't recommend it. 2/ Find something you want to fix. I'll start with his infobox, he was an MP, there's structured data for that.pic.twitter.com/ZAeB13IuHm

His pal John Bright gets to be an MP in his infobox so, since I've never done one of these before, I'll just copy that. (and change it).pic.twitter.com/Xuxzp5zVga

So I click on the "Edit source" button for John Bright. And start copying and pasting the MP section over to the equivalent for Richard Cobden. We're lucky that the West Riding of Yorkshire (UK Parliamentary constituency) page is up to date. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Riding_of_Yorkshire_(UK_Parliament_constituency) …pic.twitter.com/mnaXgbySc6

And there we go. Now for the challenging part of Wikipedia. Someone else may now come along and decide that my edit was bad and undo it. That's life. I've learned (but not confident enough to put it on Wikipedia) that Cobden stood in two seats at once. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Cobden …pic.twitter.com/LZJeHigxPH

Check it out. Absolute baller move by the lad so stand in multiple seats in the same election. Adds a whole new dimension to "vote early, vote often". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockport_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_1840s …pic.twitter.com/BHUCqY6OtY

I was going to add something about the Brexit 50p, but I can't find anything official saying it was inspired by him. So I won't. Because maybe it has very little to do with him.

Happy to see that my edits have been approved by fellow Wikipedia editors and with Cobden being quoted by the PM today I'd guess that thousands of people will se my work and understand more about the association between Cobden and North English towns and Manchester.

The original infobox gave the impression that Cobden was from and of Sussex and London. The text celebrated his work in Manchester. But his political career representing Stockport, Rochdale, and West Yorkshire was largely missing. So I added that. And now people will know more.pic.twitter.com/hv7pfXR8Dw
