I cannot believe the kind of gratuitous own goal this mindlessness represents.

What is Steve Bannon up to these days. Pulling down a statue of our 1st President seems like something he and his followers would do. Why aren’t we taking more about his agenda, how he supports trump, and the goals of his European tour after the election? He’s an organizer.

I have always maintained that this is a natural gift of Trump's. He drives the people who hate him SO over the top crazy with anger, that they self-destruct. I call it the "Clouseau effect", after the infamous fictional Parisian Chief Inspector's effect on his enemies.

When people made the slippery slope argument they were ridiculed. Seems like they are ridiculing themselves now.

Look man, maybe we should get rid of some of that shit. Or how about, we add to the text attached to Washington’s, Jefferson’s, etc. statues. You know, like they will finally do with Bonds, Clemons, etc. when they reach the HOF.

Who doesn’t know that Washington owned slaves? Adding context is fine by me tho.

As Jon Meacham explained this: Our nation was founded by intelligent, well-meaning, flawed humans. Those who merit honor are those who devoted their energy and their lives to preserving and perfecting this nation. Those who sought to destroy it, do not.
