    I'm making it my mission to clean the web. It started with when 8 of the top 10 links on Google were paywalled when I was doing COVID research at the beginning of the pandemic. Unbelievable. But i'm not done

    Turns out, next.js only automatically compresses static assets, not API routes. Good to know. Just saved a ton of bandwidth :)

    Anecdotally, switch to Brave, removed Chrome + Keystone from my M1 Air, everything feels super fast again YMMV
