As a nurse who has worked for a MND charity I fully support this family. The fact that they had to travel to another country for their beloved to die with dignity at a time of his choosing, is shameful.

My grandad passed away from MND. Its horrific. In the end he was skeletal, couldn't talk or swallow ... we had to remove the salvia from his mouth, had a huge breathing mask on and was like this for 5 weeks in a hospice. I know he would of been mortified had he been aware

So sad and lovely at the same time. People shouldn't have to go abroad to do this. The law needs changed. Granted it needs strict guidelines but it defo has a place. We don't let animals suffer so why should we let humans.

Totally agree!! It’s the dignified way to go and why should we have the ability to choose the way we do it? Not suffer or watch loved ones suffering!!

This should be allowed here in the UK. You can’t deny someone the chance to have a “good death” when all medical evidence points to them having a “bad death” in the imminent future.
