If your channel was created at X date/year then you are experiencing this issue. If you created your channel after X time, then you are not having issues with suggested/growth. The cut off is the thing I cannot identify so I need your help. More on that later...

Examples of this issue:
@PhillyD Massive amounts of views from core. Low sub growth. Doesn't make sense. ('06)@vidIQ low views & subs outside of Pewds videos, maybe from search? (plz confirm) ('13) There are others that I could point out a high view/low sub conversion.pic.twitter.com/LdwvDx2TN1

I don't want to point out more people, as that can get weird/uncomfortable. I tagged two that I think would be interested & respond well to it. Start looking at channels that are older & look at their views/subs. It needs to be confirmed, but high views+low subs = no suggested.

If that is true, then the question is whether or not my theory about channel creation date being the main pattern for when suggested dies off and the channel is just surviving off of the core audience. Also, BRAND RECOGNITION can still cause growth, ex. VidIQ.

SO HERE IS WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP. If you are experiencing a kind of "death spiral" and you are not getting views from NEW people/not getting suggested, and/or you see that your view/sub ratio is crazy low, can you put the year of your channel creation as a reply?

Let's see if the theory has merit, or if I'm just way off (it's possible, but that's why we theorize and test). Hopefully, this can help others out and maybe address a bug with the

If there actually something going it’s the audience. It’s always the audience.

What I don't understand is how you can have such a low conversion rate. You can get millions of views but I get more subs than Philly D? That makes zero sense. I think the audience shows up for him because he's amazing & makes great content...but why aren't NEW people showing up?

Just to clarify, I'm VERY hesitant to ever blame the algorithm for anything. I'm also doing very well, but my channel is new. I've been trying to figure out why all these older channels are giving up or starting second channels. What is making them all die off? Trying to help.

I think it's enough that it's hard for me to just blame it on the audience, content, or execution not being good enough. It's enough for me to think it's at least worth exploring. That's what I'm trying to say. 99% of the time, it's poor execution. This might be the 1%.
