The 3 videos I’ve specifically premiered in the past 5 weeks took off, and I got nothing but positive feedback from the viewers - not a single complaint.

Interesting. How far in advance did you schedule the premieres?

There is that 24 hour decay period starting from upload, so you uploading 7 hours before May have an impact. I don't know for sure what your workflow may be like and if you usually upload that early or not. Channel authority has a factor in this.

1 of the premieres was immediate (first one because I wasn’t sure how to do it.) So it premiered 2 minutes after I set it. The other two, one was a same day premiere (maybe 6 hours) and the other was a next day (11-12 hours.)

Interesting. And all 3 videos got a "normal" amount of views for your channel/that type of video?

Hey,
@jon_prosser do you have any more context from your end?1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
2 of the 3 got a normal amount, and 1 of the 3 got a higher amount. I have yet to see any negative - but that said, you can’t blanket statement this. I can’t say EVERYONE DO THIS! But at the same time, it also can’t be NO ONE USE THIS. It’s gonna be a channel-by-channel thing.

Fair enough. I think it's worth at least cautioning other creators. But I'm glad to hear it's worked well for you, because it seems like a cool feature!

I agree, it’s always good to hear both sides. Also good to experiment and be familiar. It’s still a beta feature too, so it’s being tweaked still which is why they’re doing the gradual rollout. Here’s hoping they hear the negatives and improve!

Yep, I think they're definitely listening.
@TeamYouTube tweeted at me and said they watched my video about it and are looking into the performance issues. Fingers crossed they can iron things out.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
That's awesome. I think it's good to be informed for sure, I'm just not too sure I want to be a part of the group testing things. I can I can only imagine how awful it feels to work on a 45 minute video for a month and it falls because of a feature being in a beta.
