He offered to have John and others on his podcast to talk if they wanted. When the others said they wouldn't feel safe if John was there, he agreed to not invite John. They did not take him up on his offer. Which part of this violated the code of conduct?

Do...you think this is actually a productive way to solve anything? His motives were impure - he supported a racist jerk and then made it all about his lame podcast. He wasn’t looking to solve any issues. Whatever they were going to talk about can be done on Twitter.

Cher first of all I'd like to say thank you for being civil and and not rude to me, even though you haven't been that way with everyone. It does make it easier to respond to you in a calm reasoned fashion. First of all in the video Chuck denounces what John said in his tweets...

And he mentions how John was trying to "Draw fire" from someone you and your group were bullying. Two wrongs don't make a right but still... Also the best example you could find that John is racist, is that he doesn't believe in affirmative action?

One more thing you think for the CRIME of NOT throwing
@simpleprogrammr under the bus,@cmaxw deserves to be cancelled and uninvited from conferences?@cmaxw didn't say anything disparaging to anyone. His biggest crime was NOT talking shit about another person.2 replies 1 retweet 6 likes -

Should he suffer financial and reputational harm because of that? To me this looks like cyber bullying of someone you disagree with. This is why I said look in the mirror. I really hope you do reflect and wonder if being part of that hateful mob is really a good thing to do.

charles was given a chance to apologise for being on the wrong side and he didnt. he was given a chance to step back, shut up and just listen, he didnt. he continued to focus the conversation on himself which is not acceptable as a popular white man in the industry.
