PTSD is a mental illness. How can anyone think they can tell a rape victim they can’t defend themselves with a gun?

Exactly. You'd be surprised how many people still think PTSD is something exclusive to soldiers in combat though. There's a crazy amount of bad info floating around out there that just won't go away. That's why I love these discussions, helps spread awareness

I have PTSD and would never own a gun b/c it puts everyone around me at risk, statistically. Further, we don't want narcoleptics driving cars unless we know they won't fall asleep while driving.
