A veteran once told me that “Happy Veterans Day” can sometimes be painful to hear for someone with severe PTSD. This is why I never say it. I don’t want to interrupt anyone’s healing process anymore than it already is.

So please keep that in mind. I think working to end wars worldwide is the best way to honor a veteran. I imagine that would be good for their healing. To know that no one will ever again feel the way they do. That no one will be hurt over a lie.
