What sort mental contortions must you jump through to read "Nothing good comes from our involvement in #Syria" as anti-withdrawal? The fact that Turkey will now attack the Kurds is an indictment of both the alliance w/ Turkey and the futility of intervening in the first place.

Amash is great. Your attempt to bash the LP's tweet is nonsense. They're both clearly against U.S. intervention in Syria. That we end up "allied" with opposing sides in a conflict is a perfectly common and standard argument against interventions and entangling alliances.

The LP tweet gave off the implication that without the USAs presence, Syria was screwed. This isn’t gymnastics. Plenty of people thought the same thing.

It implied no such thing and that's an interpretation so absurd it's bordering on illiterate. You don't imply support for a policy by saying "nothing good comes of" it or that its results are "tragic and predictable." It's because it's an LP tweet, isn't it?

When you're claiming it somehow implies the exact opposite of what it plainly says... I've seen L.P. statements I thought off-base before. But this complaint is nonsense. It's not even an uncharitable reading of it. It's a just plain false reading of it.
