No, it's highlighting that once we pull out everything goes back to how it was, so nothing was even accomplished. And how it's our own "ally" that will likely be targeting the people we assisted.

I read it the same as Alejandro, and don’t see how one can read this tweet as anything other than “WE SHOULD NOT BE IN SYRIA” the first line was not ambiguous.

The "and" is a non-sequitur, which is what leads people to read it as supporting staying / hedging on a withdrawl. It's poorly stated. For example: "I really shouldn't eat cheeseburgers and I only have cheese and burgers in the fridge."
