We won’t be in business for long if we build a product that doesn’t match the needs of people while a competitor does

In aviation, we regulate do that people (mostly) cannot choose to value cost or speed over other people’s lives. Why should we not do the same here? Why is it even legal for me to say, “I’m willing to sacrifice your life so I can get to work a few seconds faster.”

The word for killing people in service to speed isn’t “competitive advantage in the marketplace” it’s “homicide” When it comes to escalators, elevators, airplanes, we see this clearly and (mostly) regulate accordingly.
