@ThijsNiks Have you thought much about the home recharging challenge for EVs? Ie power grid issue, not charge points. Apparently if more than 15% of homes had an EV, individual streets would brownout. Perhaps the cars could talk to share charging time to a combined max ampage?
We will have fewer cars, so won’t be a huge increase. I further expect up to date electricity pricing, which should disincentivize peak usage.

It’s also no rocket science: We know how to generate and transport electricity. With increased demand we will have funds available for investment.

True, but parallels to broadband coverage. Took time. Fixed line superfast broadband isn’t rocket science either but 7% of UK premises still lack it. Private sector only got to 70% coverage, rest required £1.6bn of public funding. Urban road digging & rural last mile challenges.
