I don’t expect bikes go away, but I do expect mass transport to be replaced by carpool vehicles as decentralized software becomes more user-friendly than centralized infrastructure. Why go from home to a station to connect somewhere etc, if you can go direct for the same cost?

Fair. I’m just trying to understand the dystopian take on this, as I’m not seeing it yet. Transport options for most people are rather dismal and self-driving cars is the only step-function change I see on the horizon
