Who has experience with (AmEx) Flying Blue? I expect to do 6-8 Amsterdam-San Francisco roundtrips per year. Worth getting an AmEx Gold?
@alloy My understanding is dat levels are mostly used to increase your award miles multiplier to rack up miles faster.

@alloy AmEx Gold would get me onto Flying Blue Platinum within a year -
@alloy And I could use the Award Miles to upgrade to business class or pay for someone’s flight - Show replies

@ThijsNiks Yup, that's basically it. Keep in mind that the normal tickets you book on e.g. klm dot com are in low booking subclasses... -
@alloy So when or how do you get higher booking classes? - Show replies

@ThijsNiks ...and only yield percentages (25-50% usually). Unless you pay for business class, leveling up is usually easier in segments.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
