Woah, 4 weeks is normal? Wouldn't that eat up 2/3rd of someone's entire vacation (if they are given the avg of 30 days)? I guess 10 days remaining is still a good amount.

4 weeks is a bit of an exaggeration, but 2 is minimum and 3 is common

So spot on. I can’t believe it either, but I have roughly 3 months (60 days) of holiday.https://twitter.com/samuel_pollen/status/1388121095597854725 …

Another way to also over exaggerate and inaccurately describe it … in Silicon Valley it’s called Unlimited Paid Time Off while in France it’s called 11 months with no vacation.

It’s interesting how work/life cultures differ from country to country. In Sweden it’s the norm to take 5-6 weeks off in the summer. Focus is on long-term health and well-being. Everyone should have 6-8 weeks of paid vacation every year.

Not to mention that “a sabbatical” exposes “unlimited vacation time” for the farce that it is.
