I’m trying to figure out how to send $6000 from my Chase bank account to my wife’s Chase account for our income tax payment and the answer is to either:
- Write a free paper check
- Send $2000 for 3 days through Zelle
- Pay $25 for a wire transfer

Bank consolidation is… good? If anything, it’s mostly the thousands of community banks which drag their feet on fixing the system

Community banks "drag their feet" because they've had to squeeze profits from any source they're able to find... Yet they've still shown to be much better for the community. As far as the general fees, wire processes/transfers, etc. The Fed, regulators(Wall St), and Congresspic.twitter.com/Vgx6Y4k0db

Have been responsible for creating this system. Up until Dodd-Frank the Fed district banks were heavily controlled, and still are, by the big banks. It's obviously our financial structure/system which has created the lack of innovation or progress for your example to persist.
