I’m trying to figure out how to send $6000 from my Chase bank account to my wife’s Chase account for our income tax payment and the answer is to either:
- Write a free paper check
- Send $2000 for 3 days through Zelle
- Pay $25 for a wire transfer

is that true? I paid my taxes out of several different accounts this year, not all of which are owned by me. I don’t think the IRS cares where the money comes from?

You’ll have to teach us how to use other people’s bank accounts to pay for our taxes

It's a joint return so the money must come from one account... Makes no sense.

There is no such rule. If both parties work, each company withholds income independently (different flows etc.).
