One thing I don’t get on minimum wage debate: it is only possible for many to work jobs at current min wage and still live due to social programs (which effectively subsidize those employers). If we raise min wage, do we also raise thresholds for food stamps, medicaid, etc?

Why would you need to raise the thresholds? Fewer people should automatically qualify as a result of raising minimum wage.
