After using Quip for a while, my respect for Google Docs engineers has gone up 10x. Making a functioning text editor is hard.

I feel it's only marginally better than sharepoint files and abysmally inferior to google docs

The upsides of Quip: - Continuous document (no page metaphor) - Default text styling is much more pleasing - Embed a spreadsheet - Embed and play videos - Add image to a comment - Lock edits to a document Docs does everything else better
