Someone asked me the other day whether I’d “found what I was looking for” coming to the US. I answered that I was delighted by the culture, and disappointed by the policies — but then, I came to San Francisco.

I find it funny how surprised Americans are when you tell them you’d pick the US over Europe any day, considering how many Europeans there are in the US, and how few Americans in Europe.

About 5 times as many people move from the EU to the US, mostly from the UK and Poland. Though it’s a surprisingly small (yet productive) group of people who move.
