True, but this the second time they went about it in such an amateur (and illegal) way. Mostly a story of US executives not caring about the rest of the world being different.

Yes, the US has a higher financial upside for me than the Netherlands, but the life of a person with below average means is way worse.

Life expectancy for the p10 in wealth is probably a reasonable overall metric. Percentage of income spent on essential goods for the bottom quintile is likely a useful leading metric.

You could use p50 PPP GDP per capita, self reported wellbeing, and HDI. But I’m worried these are obscuring the innovations they depend on — to what extent are Nordic countries free riding on American innovation?
