Posit: WebRTC killed network effects for video calling. You don’t have to install anything (on desktop), a call can just be a link, and you barely even need to know what service runs the call you’re joining.

There are barriers to entry/replacement around SSO and features and Zoom nailed the on-ramp), but there's no 'winner takes all' effect here. You have to build something useful around the video stream.

Zoom’s ability to show a large number of video streams simultaneously makes team meetings easier and gives them pricing power. This will erode as soon as WebRTC is able to show 20-30 streams.

There is a lot of value in being able to see the faces of your team members, but I can absolutely see lots of other scenarios where video doesn’t add much
